Hello former house guests! I would like to start off by congratulating Michele on making final two. It has been a long and difficult journey to make it here, and I am so happy that I was able to make it this far.
This was my first Big Brother game in two years, and I have been playing to win it from the first day. My strategy was to play the social game, and I was able to succeed in doing so by avoiding nominations and POV replacement until the Final Four. I had some sort of friendship or alliance with each member of the game aside from the first three evicted members.
The game changed for me on two major occasions. The first was when Mike won HOH and turned the game upside down. At the final ten, Britney and Janelle were up against each other for eviction. This is when my first alliance was formed. I found out through the grapevine that Michele was spreading rumors that Nick, Janelle, and myself were aligned. This "rumor" was the spark the started my first alliance of three with Nick-Janelle-Myself, with Eric and Karen as the fourth and fifth members due to them being partners with Nick and myself, respectively.
This alliance would break apart four rounds later when Michele won HOH. The nominations ended up being Janelle and Mike for eviction. I was able to get myself off the block as the replacement nominee by convincing Michele that I would vote to evict Janelle. When I was not nominated, I expected for Mike to get evicted because me and Nick would have controled the votes that round. It became clear to me that his friendship with Mike meant more to him than his alliance with Janelle and myself when he did not respond to the confirmation that Mike was getting evicted. This gave me no choice but to evict Janelle in a 3-0 eviction. It was also at this point, where I lost my trust in Nick completely.
This would mark the second time the game changed for me, and I was able to adapt myself to it quickly. Once Jase entered the game the following round, I was invited into a new alliance of three with Michele-Jase-Myself. Jase and I had always had a great relationship, so working with him was not difficult. My relationship with Michele was like a see-saw during the whole game, and I was unsure if I could really trust her. I put my personal feelings aside because I had a game to play.
It was at the final five where I won my first HOH. It was also during this round where the DPOV was used, and Jase was sent home. Once I saw who I was up against in the final four I did not think I would be able to pull this off because of the power duo of Eric and Nick. I underestimated myself, and I was able to pull of two important victories to get me to this point.
Although I was the last player to win a competition, it was my strategy to avoid winning challenges to better hide my relationships with my fellow house guests. When it was time for me to win competitions, I did win them. I come out of this game with four competition wins in my pocket (Final Five HOH, Final Four Veto, Final HOH #1 and #3).
During this game I had to adapt to new situations, and I made my sworn enemy into my main alliance partner. I played the social game perfectly, and I feel that a great number of players got to know Edwin and not just the character "Rachel". By playing this social game, I know that some feelings were hurt. I want to personally apologize to those people I did hurt, but I tried my best to keep our personal conversations aside from how I felt in the game.
So with that, I wish Michele the best of luck and I cannot wait to see what the jurors are going to ask me. *giggles*
